Party Balloons Galore!
This week has been crazy busy and prosperous in a way. I had two interviews this week, one on Monday and another on Tuesday. Monday was at Zurcher's, I applied there a month ago when they were hiring and they just happened to keep my application. I applied there mainly because it was closed on Sunday. I don't mind working retail because I need to be around people which my other job did not provide (and talking to myself gets boring, surprising yes, but true). I aced the interview but I was alright not getting the job, because it's the opportunities that count. Tuesday I had another interview at this new craft store called Hobby Lobby, again they are closed on Sunday.
I walked into that store and was totally amazed by all the stuff they had (i am an artsy craft girl). If I had gotten the job I think it would have been a disaster to my paycheck because I would be buying things like crazy. I went in for my interview and they gave me a math test and 20 minutes to work on it and no calculator. I about died. Math is my weakest subject. It was easy math in a way, but I have been using a calculator for so long now that my brain just died. How was I suppose to get 66% off of $27.93? Later I figured out to just take 10 percent off 6 times like tithing but then what would I do with the other 6% (yes, I am not intelligent in that area, math just freaks me out sometimes ha ha). They told me not to worry about the math part, but I knew I had butchd the interview. I kind of figure I wouldn't be hearing from either of them, so I was content with my other job that I pretty much am a pro at. Friday morning I got a call from Zurcher's and I was hired which is great. The downside is that I start at minimum wage so I drop .75 cents, but it is a sacrifice I am willing to make so that my social skills and job skills may flourish. Yes, that is my week and now I have 11 days until surgery! I am excited for it!
Yeeeeaaaa for a new job!!!!
