A Week of February
This week hasn't been the most exciting or depressing, more a mid range typical average week. h first off all I paid off my credit card so my computer is now officially all mine! YES! Now I just got to make car payments to my folks. Sunday was Valentines Day, my most favorite (commercial) holiday of the year. It is full of my favorite colors pink and red with all the mushy gushy stuff and the tasty yucky sweetheart candy. No it's not my favorite holiday. Some may think being a florist for a few years I should love it because of the money, but really it just made it more commercial for me (they didn't have to fill out all those VD cards). Monday I finally got to see Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief and was greatly disappointed. I love the books and I love Greek Mythology. It had been a while sense I had read the book but it still didn't feel right to me. Good movie just not like the book which is pretty normal. Oh also funny Story. I went to get my Emissions test and as I am finished I give the man my debit card to pay (my brother went in last week). The man comes back with my card and says I recognize your last name, your husband was in here last week. Ha ha ha I giggled and told he nicely that it was actually my brother. Tuesday I finished a book called the Fallen by Lauren Kate, which I really liked cause I finished it in two days (that has to be saying something right?). Totally recommend it to all you girls who like romance and who may be Twilight fans. Wednesday my new friend decided to play a little match maker. So now I am friends with one of her male friends from her home town in Mesa, Arizona. He served in Italy which is pretty cool and intriguing because my Grandmother is a full blooded feisty Italian woman. I also had a freak out cause I still need to get my taxes ready, Eagle Floral has sent nothing and I'm not sure what will happen if I don't have a W2 from them sense they closed down some months ago, but I had at least two and a half months with them last year. Thursday I called my old boss (I had to get her new number from my friend her daughter) to ask about my W2, turns out she had it and just needed my address SWEET! All is good. Friday beautiful Friday. It didn't start out all that beautiful I woke up my brother shot me with 2 fake imaginary guns and then I was sick half the day at work (God made Medicine for a reason and I am glad). So I started feeling better and then left work a little early to hit a sale going on at Old Navy on their Jeans (My good Mom called to tell me...I'm thinking birthday gift). I went to Old Navy and went through half their jeans and pulled out at least 12 or so pairs and brought them to the dressing rooms to try on (they are so cool, I didn't have to give them a number they let me go right in). I was successful and came out with 2 pairs Yes! I then went home had a little easy dinner called Drive through (I don't very often). That evening I went grocery shopping with a couple friends to get stuff for our real deal Italian meal tomorrow (one of them/friends served in Italy). Saturday I woke up to the banging of pots and pans (prob my dad unloading the dishwasher). I got up stretched ate a bowl of honeybunches of oats and started my laundry (our machine finally got fixed a few weeks ago!). I then got dressed and through my face on ha ha. 10:30ish I went over to a friends and we began our Italian meal. Oh it was sooooooooooooo good, we had gnocchi (I think that's how you spell it?) with a marinara sauce, veil covered with prosciutto and seasoned with fresh sage (so good). We then had a salad served made out of fennel and tomatoes with olive oil and salt (it was alright, not my favorite). Ah then last but not least desert which was amazingly good we had Tiramisu which means translated pick me up. Usually it is made with coffee but we used chocolate milk instead and it was really good and picked me right up ha ha. It was a long day but a long day of eating. I guess in Italy everyone gets off for 2 hours for there lunch break and they have a big lunch like we did and then they take a nap then go back to work and school. Crazy I feel so educated! Sunday I will be busy, I may go to 1 or 2 missionary homecomings and then church from 2:30- to 5:30 and may top it off with a Fireside.
Wooo, quite the week. I think my favorite part was the car guy thinking you and Zach are married. QUITE humorous.
